  1. Every single one of us is creative and magical. We just need to give ourselves the space to explore.

  2. The person you most want to be seen by is yourself. You want to arrive at your own door every day.

  3. We have to open ourselves up to the pain of the gap in order to become great.

  4. Give yourself permission to play and follow those inklings.

  5. We’ve spent so much time ignoring our 8 year old self. Don’t wait until you retire to let the inner child free.

  6. For a fire to grow, you need to rest, step back, and fan the flame.

  7. Find the empathy in your work. Keep making different things until you find the thing someone will need from you.

  • Exercises to identify your passion project:

  1. Write down your 5 imaginary lives. What would you do if you weren’t limited by the boundaries of reality or practicality?

  2. Write down 10 things you would do if you didn’t have to do them perfectly.

  3. Write a letter from your 8 year old self.

  4. Write a letter from your 80 year old self.
